Bernoff, senior vice president for idea development at Forrester Research, will be speaking Wednesday morning, Feb. 8, before a group of digital advertisers and global search marketers from Fortune 500 and Internet 1,000 companies. The sixth annual event has a "Searchin' Safari" theme and takes place in southern California at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Hotel in Huntington Beach (aka "Surf City, USA").
In a presentation titled "Digital Marketing in a Social Influenced World," Bernoff is expected to address the key issues and trends digital advertisers should have on their radar screens in 2012, as marketers adjust to rapid advancements of social technologies and the active engagement of 24/7 customer communities.
The longtime Forrester executive and industry analyst co-authored the BusinessWeek best-selling book "Groundswell: Winning in a World Transformed by Social Technologies," along with the sequel "Empowered: Unleash your Employees, Energize your Customers, Transform your Business."
Bernoff joins a dynamic INFLECTIONPoint 2012 keynote one-two punch that also features Billy Beane, general manager of the Oakland Athletics Major League Baseball team and the subject of Michael Lewis' best-selling book "Moneyball, the Art of Winning at an Unfair Game." As previously announced, Beane, whose success story was also portrayed in Sony Pictures' acclaimed movie "Moneyball," will be the opening day speaker Tuesday, Feb. 7.
In addition to keynotes by Bernoff and Beane, the conference will feature insightful panels, case study presentations, and interactive roundtables on various issues of importance to global search marketers and digital advertisers.
For example, executives from Intel, Lenovo, Tektronix and Kenshoo will be featured on a panel about leveraging social media and paid search advertising. In another session, panelists from Campmor and Lenovo will discuss integrating SEO (search engine optimization) and social media.
