techJoYnT Academy is Now Enrolling STEM Spring Break Robotics and Game Design Camps

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (PRWEB) January 30, 2014

techJoYnT Academy classes will be held from March 10th-13th and from March 17th-20th, in conjunction with Oklahoma City and Edmond Public School calendars for spring break. There will be two classes per day: one from 7:30AM - 11:30AM, and another from 12:30PM - 4:30PM. Each class will be held for four hours per day, four days per week, for a total of sixteen contact hours. To enroll for one of these engaging classes, click here.

At techJOYnT, we believe that spring break is the perfect time to introduce a new subject to a student - especially something as engaging as Game Design or Robotics. We supply a wealth of knowledge during our 4-day intensive camp that keeps students minds active and continuously learning, says Bryan Sekine, techJOYnT instructor.

Here is a brief summary of each class:

-LEGO Robotics - Students will design, build, and program their own LEGO Mindstorm robot to complete objective on a game board. Participants may also sign up and join a team for the FIRST LEGO League competition.

-2D Game Design - Students will learn how to design, animate, program, and test their own video games. Participants may also sign up and join a team for the Game Design Summit.

-Digital Graphic Arts - Students will learn the basics of graphic design, concept sketching, color theory, and illustration using Photoshop.

-Character Design - Students will learn about concept art, brainstorming, silhouettes, design principles, and illustration techniques to create their own custom character. Each character will have a color pallet, a pose sheet, and a full color render of the finished design.

-Autonomous Robotics - Students will have the rare opportunity to learn how to program a NAO robot to move, react, sense, and respond autonomously.
