YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas Youth Basketball Association Invites Players to Play the Best, Become the Best(October 01, 2013)
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) October 01, 2013
The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas recently announced their new skill-based youth basketball program, the Youth Basketball Association Select (YBA-Select).
YBA Select brings together the top 32 teams in the Dallas Metropolitan area and allows some of the citys most talented players to grow in skill and confidence.
Its no secret that the YMCA is the official home of basketball and that we bring communities together like no other organization can, said Sarah Byrom, spokesperson for the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. YBA -Select is a natural transition for basketball teams that want to compete and a compliment for teams that desire both recreational and competitive play.
YBA Select is the the most expansive league in the city. Thirty-two teams will compete with players from across the metropolitan area of Dallas North and South Dallas, Coppell, Waxahachie, Garland, Grand Prairie, Irving, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Richardson, Lewisville, Coppell, Rockwall and everywhere in between. Leagues are available for the age groups of nine and under and ten and under.
The league follows National Federation of High School (NFHS) rules, except where changed to fit league play, and includes no playing time restrictions. Division placement is based on skill and a preseason tournament determines rankings. The season starts January 12th, 2014 and includes four weeks of regular play at two games every Sunday.
