Vology and the Tampa Bay Rays Agree to a Three-Year Contract and Relationship

(April 21, 2014)

OLDSMAR, Fla., April 21, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vology, Inc and the Tampa Bay Rays announce a three-year sponsorship agreement naming Vology as the Preferred IT Solutions Provider to the Tampa Bay Rays.

For Vology, which has historically offered IT solutions that include Certified Pre-Owned equipment at up to 90 percent off manufacturer list prices, the sponsorship demonstrates one of its main value propositions in its work with a close customer. "Vology's core competency is helping our customers get the most out of their IT budgets. We are not aware of an organization that exemplifies getting the most out of a budget better than the Tampa Bay Rays," says Barry Shevlin, Vology founder and CEO. "Both personally and professionally, I am very pleased with this relationship."

Vology, an Oldsmar, Fla.- based Hybrid SuperVAR, and the Tampa Bay Rays have conducted business together since 2007, but Vology's passion for Rays' baseball has a much longer history. Shevlin has been a season ticketholder since the Rays' 1998 inaugural season, and Vology has entertained customers at Rays' games since the company's inception in 2002.

In 2013, Vology celebrated its acquisition of Tampa-based Bayshore Technologies, Inc. by closing its operations and taking the entire staff and families to Rays' opening day. This year, the company will once again host employees and their families at a game, where the Vology brand logo will be displayed along the right-field wall.

Shevlin and Vology are also passionate about giving back to the community. Vology contributes $250 for each "Rays Walk of the Game" to Ruth Eckerd Hall, a Clearwater, Fla. performing arts center that supports arts education, life-long learning experiences, mastery, discovery and exploration of the performing arts in our community.

Mark Fernandez, senior vice president of the Tampa Bay Rays, is appreciative of Vology's customer-centric approach and community involvement. "As a Tampa Bay-based business focused on superior customer service and making a meaningful impact on our community, Vology is an ideal partner for the Rays."
