Summer Knight Training at Medieval Times Schaumburg(June 12, 2014)
Schaumburg, Illinois (PRWEB) June 12, 2014
Hear ye! Hear ye! The king decrees that during weekends this summer, children in the audience between the ages of 5 and 12 are invited into the arena one hour before the performance to participate in Knight Training. These sessions are free with a paid show admission.
Knight Training begins one hour before the first show on Saturdays and Sundays and is hosted by the castles own Knights, Lord Chancellor and King. Participants will learn about the bravery and skills required of a knight. They will also receive hands-on training in the core movements of sword fighting something that every Knight of the realm has to master. Culminating this amazing experience, the King dubs all trainees as his Knights.
After the training ends, the new Knights join their families in the stands to enjoy the performance together. Audience members cheer for the brave Knights as they vie for the title of Champion. During this competition, they display their skill with authentic weaponry and armor in true medieval games of skill, jousting and sword fighting. Guests enjoy a kingly repast while watching the remarkable competition.
Reservations are not required or accepted for the Knight Training sessions. Inclusion in the program is on a first come, first served basis. Children must be wearing closed toe and heel shoes in order to participate. Please arrive an hour before showtime. Dates and times for Knight Training are listed on the website at http://www.medievaltimes.com/chicago and are subject to change. It is recommended to confirm training sessions by calling the castle at 1-888-WE-JOUST (888-935-6878) the week of the show date being attended.
