Spark Design Awards Announce Exciting 2013 Schedule(December 31, 2012)
New York, NY USA (PRWEB) December 31, 2012
As Spark wraps up a year of significant growth, the planning team sees an acceleration of efforts in the coming months. "Working with Kit Hinrichs, Clark Kellogg, Brent Oppenheimer, Arnold Wasserman, Marc Gobe, Alf Nucifora and many others, we've put together plans to double overall participation in the Spark Awards during 2013," said Spark Founder and CEO Peter Kuchnicki. "We've added two completely new competitions to our line up, including Spark>App, and the AllSpark Platinum Awards. We are also fine-tuning the other five competitions started last year."
Among the most significant tweaks Kuchnicki mentioned concern the Spark>Communications design competition. "Our research has clearly demonstrated that designers in graphics, motion, interface and related areas that are not well served by legacy services. The issues range from obtuse organization bureaucracies to high overheads and expensive entry fees. Spark is lean, forward-thinking and open. And starting in April, Spark>Communication fees will be chopped by two-thirds."
Spark management anticipates further growth in Asia and South America, particularly in Brazil. Spark>Spaces is focused on architecture, interiors and urban planning. "This competition has always had strong entries from Brazil," said Spark Senior Adviser, Clark Kellogg. "This year a special task force will focus on these designers and architects and plans are afoot to mount a major exhibition in Sao Paulo."
