Silver Dolphin Books Announces First-Ever Licensing Agreement with Hasbro, Inc.

Silver Dolphin Books, a publisher of high-quality, novelty and activity-based books for children ages 2 to 12, and Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS), announced today that they have entered into a multi-year North American/Latin American licensing agreement to manufacture and market a variety of educationally based activity books using the companys famed PLAY-DOH brand.

The first books under this license agreementthree PLAY-DOH Concept Learning Books, two novelty board books, and one jumbo sticker bookwill land in stores nationwide in March 2013. Book-Plus Kits will arrive in stores in Fall 2013.

PLAY-DOH is a brand of wonderful and creative products, and we are thrilled to be working with Hasbro on this line of activity books, said Jon I. Rosenberg, Publisher Silver Dolphin Books. These books will be colorful and full of life, and will use the iconic brand to illustrate early learning concepts and give kids a hands-on learning tool.

Over the next several years, Silver Dolphin will publish a variety of books that incorporate PLAY-DOH products. Items to be produced include board books, sticker/activity books, electronic sound books, and novelty books with PLAY-DOH compound.

Children will gravitate toward this adorable early-learning series. This is just the beginning of many more learning initiatives to come from Hasbro Publishing, said Michael Kelly, Hasbro Director Global Publishing. Silver Dolphins PLAY-DOH books will be available beginning in Spring 2013 with Mamas Little Ducklings (MSRP $6.95, 12-page board book, ages 0-18 months), My First Words (MSRP $6.95, 10-page board book with padded cover, ages 0-3), Lets Get Creative Jumbo Sticker Book (MSRP $12.95, 144-page trade paper with 300 reusable stickers, ages 3 & up), and three titles in the First Concepts Series: Counting Bunnies, Making Shapes with Monkey, and Rainbow Butterflies (MSRP $6.95, 14-page board book, ages 0-18 months).
