Security America Mortgage Educates Military Veterans With a New Website

Kicking off 2013 with a bang, Security America Mortgage, Inc. launched a new corporate website recently, helping military veterans take advantage of their earned VA Home Loan benefits.

The redesign of our website is imperative for serving Veterans in the most efficient manner possible, said Garrett Puckett, Chief Executive Officer of Security America Mortgage, Inc.

Security Americas new website is designed to be a place where Veterans can learn about the entire home buying process, from start to finish.

Our Veterans deserve an easily navigable road to utilizing their home loan benefit to purchase a home, but we also wanted to make our website a place where Veterans can see how active we are in the community and with our federal government, said Puckett.

The VA Home Loan is a benefit provided to military veterans who meet specific service requirements. Length of service, character of service and type of service (Active, Reserve, Guard) are all factors considered when determining eligibility.

As a veteran myself, I am really excited to have a new method for educating and engaging my fellow veterans, said Steve Otero, Public Relations Director of Security America Mortgage, Inc.

I am really excited about the launch especially because I will be able to talk about it to my fellow Veterans at the upcoming Warrior Games, Otero said.

Otero is considered an Air Force Wounded Warrior, which is any Airman who has an injury or illness that may require long-term care or a medical or physical evaluation board to determine fitness for duty.

The Warrior Games are a weeklong, Paralympic style set of events, which are a means for various service members to use sportsmanship to build camaraderie within the military community and celebrate their recoveries.

I am proud to have a company that values the sacrifice Veterans make for our country, said Puckett. As a business owner, I quickly recognize the traits of a good employee, and Veterans are an asset to any workplace.

The new website is completely redesigned, reorganized and re-prioritized based on featuring the most useful information searched for by Veterans on search engines such as Google.

One of the most common searches we see, VA Loans Houston brings Veterans to a few of our feedback videos and one of our homepages, said Otero. There is a large amount of information available on the Internet about the VA Loan, and we ensure that Veterans receive the proper information, the first time. By ensuring Veterans receive factual information, we can help prevent them from being steered into a mortgage product that does not benefit their families the most financially ... my wife works in banking and prior to this year, we hadnt even known about the VA Loan benefit.

The original Servicemans Readjustment Act, Public Law 78-346, passed by the United States Congress in 1944, extended a wide variety of benefits to eligible Veterans. The Home Loan Guaranty Program was one of the major innovations and a significant part of the original Act.

The overall objective of the program was to diminish, to the greatest possible extent, the economic and sociological problems of post war readjustments for millions of men and women then serving in the Armed Forces.
