Sanctri Celebrates the Life and Music of Jerry Vale, Who Died on 5/18/14(May 19, 2014)
New York, NY (PRWEB) May 19, 2014
Sanctri announced today the creation of a Sanctri, or memorial page, to celebrate the life and music of singer Jerry Vale who died yesterday on 5/18/14.
As many Sanctri members remember, Jerry Vale was a pop star in the 1950s and 1960s who recorded over 50 albums. His hits include You Dont Know Me, Al Di La, Innamorata (Sweetheart), and Pretend You Dont See Her. He was also a fixture in Las Vegas. Vale even recorded the National Anthem, which was played at Yankee baseball games and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame at Cooperstown.
We will always have his music to listen to, but when we lose a popular singer like Jerry Vale, the grief that fans feel can be devastating. Jerry Vales Sanctri on Facebook offers anyone the opportunity to share their feelings with other fans, friends and loved ones. In fact, the very act of sharing strong emotions has been shown to have therapeutic value, even when the relationship is between a singer and their fans.
The public is invited to contribute their own memories of Jerry Vale, using the free Sanctri app on Facebook. By joining the community and adding music videos of their favorite Jerry Vale songs from YouTube, along with stories and photos, fans themselves will weave the story of what Jerry Vale meant to the world. And by making a donation in memory through Sanctri, Jerry Vale fans can help his name and his work live on.
For the 4 million profiles of Facebook users that will fall silent one day this year, the Sanctri app is a new place to go. Their stories should still be told, photos still seen and memories still shared. Yet as humans we shy away from looking, let alone posting, on a frozen Facebook page because something about it feels wrong. Our goal at Sanctri is to take away that awkwardness. The Sanctri app makes it easy to create a memorial, called a Sanctri, share it with others, add memories with a click, and continue the good work of the departed through charitable contributions made in their name.
