RiverKings' Blueliner Called to Elmira

Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced Monday that defenseman Steven Kaunisto has been loaned to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.
"Kaunisto has been playing very good hockey this season and we're obviously very happy for him," said Landmesser. "This is a very well deserved call-up."
Kaunisto, 26, appeared in 30 games with the RiverKings. The 6'0" 193 lbs. native of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. tallied four goals and 13 assists in his first season in the Mid-South.
