No More Poverty and CES7 Urgently Seek Donations and Medical Equipment for Philippines Medical Mission

Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) March 15, 2013

No More Poverty and its co-founders Michael Omidi, MD and Julian Omidi are working with Charitable Endowment Support (CES7) to care for sick, needy kids in the Philippines. The charities have banded together to build an intensive care unit in a district hospital in Luzon, the biggest island in the Philippines and a sophisticated medical facility in the city of Cebu to benefit the citizens of the second and third biggest islands of the country, where teams of medical professionals can serve the community on a long-term basis, specially dedicated for the orphans and the impoverished. A successful medical mission led by Dr. Michael Omidi was completed in December 2012 and right now the charities are seeking help to procure the medical equipment and supplies needed for another mission scheduled for June 2013. Medical professionals are also needed to lend their talents and skills to address the complicated, life-saving medical needs of these impoverished people. The team hopes to serve approximately 40 long-suffering patients during the June mission. If you would like to help support this mission of mercy, please donate directly to CES7 at http://www.ces7.org/donate-now.

This disadvantaged community, just north of Manila in the Philippines, is very poor. The living conditions are very dire and the resulting health needs numerous. It is simply heart wrenching, according to Maria Abaca of CES7. Once we get the infrastructure in place for the medical facility, well will be able to coordinate multiple visits and also train the locals to meet the long-term care needs of the community. That is our dream. The initial set-up is costly, but the pay-off will be tremendous with life changing medical care for many.

As we all know, medical equipment and supplies are very expensive and we need thousands of dollars to purchase and ship what is needed for this new facility, says co-founder of No More Poverty, Dr. Michael Omidi. We are contacting pharmaceutical and equipment suppliers to request donations and are hopeful to receive cash donations as well to enable us to continue serving these impoverished people and meet their medical needs.

Charitable Endowment Support (ces7.org) serves as an umbrella to organizations that enhance the life and welfare of people battered by seven common maladies of the impoverished: despair, desolation, oppression, illiteracy, poverty, crime and societys ills. The non-profit organization seeks humanitarian opportunities around the world where their empowerment programs can address a communitys lack of sufficient economic, education, training, and spiritual resources and offer hope for a brighter future.

No More Poverty (nmp.org) is a not-for-profit charity organization (with a pending 501(c)3 application) founded by brothers Michael Omidi, M.D. and Julian Omidi. The organization seeks to end poverty at home and abroad by supporting the efforts of like-minded charities and agencies. Current efforts are focused on increasing awareness of and donations to charities already doing great work to address poverty and its staggering effects throughout the world. The plan is to expand our activities to include fostering business development and job creation in disenfranchised areas.
