New Junior Golf Program at Newport Beach Golf Course

Newport Beach Golf Course is offering an exciting new junior program designed to expose golf to juniors of all ability levels. This junior golf camp, featuring the PGA Sports Academy powered by UnitedHealthcare curriculum, will help youth learn to play golf and have fun in the process. The series will be offered by a PGA professional in a group environment, from March 25, 2013, for the affordable price of $130.00. Each session is one day per week for five weeks.

Thanks to the PGA Sports Academy, our program will teach juniors golf skills using physical movement, games, and fun, said John Leonard. Active play is the way young children learn, and the PGA Sports Academy links fundamental golf motion into play creating lifelong golfers! Its just plain fun and kids love it!

The Junior Golf Camp will take place throughout the season on Mondays and Fridays. Each session will provide golf and near-golf experiences, fitness and nutrition knowledge, and plenty of opportunity for on-and-off course athletics. Golf skills will be the basis for learning, along with sportsmanship and open play.

The program is designed to teach juniors long-term athletic development to produce lifelong golfers.
