NFL Stadiums Kick Off Season With Green Initiatives; Mr. Electric® Showcases How Stadiums Are Going Green

Waco, Texas (PRWEB) August 20, 2014

Green initiatives by NFL teams are becoming commonplace. Sports teams are rapidly reducing the amount of energy consumption used by NFL stadiums on game day and Mr. Electric has some of the best ways stadiums are reducing energy consumption and going green.

Soldier Field, LED Lights
Home to the Chicago Bears, Soldier Field was outfitted with LED lighting, which replaced the stadiums traditional lights. The LED lights will reduce energy use and costs at the stadium.

Century Link and Soldier Field, Electronic Charging Stations
The Seattle Seahawks and Chicago Bear Stadiums are set to make a big impact by encouraging people to cut-down on the use of gas-powered vehicles at tailgating events. Both stadiums are outfitted with electronic charging stations.

The turf and grass isnt the only thing that is green at NFL stadiums anymore, said Joel Worthington, president of Mr. Electric. A lot of great things are happening and from an electrical and green initiative standpoint, its almost as exciting as the games themselves.

MetLife Stadium, Automated Light Control System
MetLife stadium plays host to two NFL teams. The New York Jets and Giants get to call this stadium home. The stadium has installed an automated light control system to reduce the amount of energy consumed during games. The automated light control system at the stadium also helps to reduce the energy bill.

Lincoln Financial Field, Alternative Energy
The Philadelphia Eagles call Lincoln Financial Field home. The stadium is the first-ever professional stadium in the U.S. to be self-sufficient in its use of energy. The stadium uses wind and solar power to operate the stadium.
