My Positive Perspective Hosts Episode with Take It to the Streets Founder Jesse Williams

On March 11, 2013, My Positive Perspective hosted an episode that was geared out strengthening the development of our youth. The episode featured special guest, Jesse Williams, the founder of Take it to the Streets. When asked exactly how the nonprofit group was helping our children, Williams said, Take it to the Streets initially went out to the community to bless a certain neighborhood that clearly needed assistance. Williams continues, We asked people what they wanted and the answer given to us was something for the kids to do.

My Positive Perspective host Jason Deierlein then said, Our children are our future and whenever we can do something to help them, we feel that our society is being helped because of it. When children have too much idle time that can lead to poor decisions, so linking the children up to their parents, we create a pleasant, positive environment that aids in the development of our youth.

Take it to the Streets founder Jesse Williams elaborated more on these field trips that take place between parents and their children saying, We try to provide games, meals, and even teach them about the lessons learned through Christ. In doing this, we are creating an environment that kids feel safe in. In addition, we are also encouraging and strengthening relationships between parents and their children."

My Positive Perspective is a media outlet believing that improvement in our community will be best achieved by focusing on the good things happening in our world today. Having survived a near fatal car accident when I was a teenager forced me to have a mentality of always concentrating on the brighter sides of things. This was true, and in my book, Return From a Comatose Mind, this belief was put to the test. Appreciation for life was the biggest thing I took away from my brush with death, and it is because of that gives me such a huge desire to be helpful to many. My Positive Perspective is my way of dealing with problems that may be affecting me.
