JustCheapTickets.com Reports Super Bowl Tickets Selling at Quicker Rates as Game Nears

Super Bowl tickets at JustCheapTickets.com are selling at increasing rates ever since the NFLs regular season reached its conclusion on Dec. 30 and 12 teams started preparing for the playoffs. Two of those squads will play in the leagues premier event at 5:30 p.m. CDT in New Orleans. The Mercedes-Benz Superdome will play host to the most prestigious event on Americas sporting calendar.

The NFLs title contest is a historic event that dates to the first AFL-NFL World Championship Game. That was played between the AFL and NFL champions on Jan. 15, 1967. The Green Bay Packers knocked off the Kansas City Chiefs, 35-10, at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in that contest. In the third installment of the game, the New York Jets upset the Baltimore Colts by a 16-7 score. That contest also concluded the first season of a unified NFL after it absorbed the AFL and its teams.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have won the most titles as they have taken home the Vince Lombardi trophy home on six occasions. However, no team has the impressive record in this contest that San Francisco does as the 49ers have won all five times they have played in the game. The Dallas Cowboys have also prevailed on five occasions. The Packers won the first two title games and then claimed titles following the 1996 and 2010 seasons. The New York Giants also have four titles. They won the 2012 event but did not qualify for the playoffs this season.

New Orleans has played host to this game more than other city as the 2013 event will be its 10th in the city and its seventh in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Tulane Stadium served as the host facility the first three times the game was played in the Crescent City. Although the Miami metropolitan area has also played host to the contest on 10 occasions, five of those games took place in Miami, and five were played in nearby Miami Gardens.
