GummyBearIntl YouTube Channel Passes 500,000 Subscriber Milestone(January 17, 2014)
New York, NY (PRWEB) January 17, 2014
Gummybear International, creators of everyone's favorite animated singing and dancing green gummy bear character known as Gummibär, and owners of one of the most popular animation channels on YouTube, today announced that the channel has surpassed a half million subscribers. According to YouTube's analytical data compiled since September 2009, the channel has generated more than 1.15 billion channel views in that time period with an additional 2 billion views of its content via videos reposted by third parties on other channels for a combined total of more than 3.2 billion YouTube views in that same period.
What started as a 30 second animated clip has grown into a world-wide viral phenomenon that includes CD and DVD releases in more than 40 international territories, gold albums, platinum albums, multi-platinum albums, an animated Christmas special, lines of toys, apparel, merchandise, and gaming apps. Gummibär has transcended all geographic and cultural borders thanks in large part to him singing in more than 25 languages.
Jurgen Korduletsch, president of Gummybear International states, "Were thrilled with having reached yet another new milestone in the YouTube success story of the Gummibär channel. In little more than 5 years our character has established itself as the most successful and best known animated character on the internet, building a massive worldwide fan following in the process. It is a rare but happy feat that a character keeps growing in popularity year after year, generating ever increasing views. Were looking forward to expanding the reach of Gummibär even further this year with a number of new ventures including a new CD and DVD, new video games and apps, an exciting line of merchandise products, and of course plenty of great videos."
