Guide to Compete at SXSW Interactives Fifth Annual Accelerator

Guide was selected from more than five hundred companies yesterday as a finalist, putting them in line to pitch in the annual SXSW Accelerator. Along with the other seven News Technology finalists, Guide will be showcasing its product on Monday, March 11 and Tuesday, March 12 at the Hilton Hotel in downtown Austin.

Guide, based in Miami, is a software company focused on turning online news and blogs into video for anyone wanting to curate and consume content when reading isn't an option, such as when on the treadmill, making dinner, multitasking at work or getting ready in the morning.

SXSW frequently sets the tone for whats next in tech for the rest of the year, said Guide CEO and founder Freddie Laker. Being formally recognized by SXSW and their panel of industry experts puts even more pressure on us but it is also an exciting opportunity to show the world how truly big our vision is.

Founded in August 2012, Guide will be launching in private beta the first week of February and in public beta at the 2013 SXSW Interactive Festival.
