GoBankingRates.com Celebrates the 2013 Chinese New Year by Examining Link between Animal Signs and Personal Savings Habits

  (February 15, 2013)

El Segundo, CA (PRWEB) February 15, 2013

The 2013 Chinese New Year marks the year of the snake, an animal sign in the Chinese zodiac known for possessing intuition, introspection, and wisdom. In fact, all 12 animal signs are associated with specific characteristics, and in celebration of the Chinese New Year, Go Banking Rates examined how these personal traits translate to an individual's money management style, including spending, budgeting, saving money, and investing. The article also provides tips for how to save more money depending on the year a person was born.

Go Banking Rates investigated the characteristics associated with each animal in the 12-year Chinese zodiac calendar Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Boar all of which coincide with certain birth years. Then these traits were analyzed in terms of how they might correspond to a person's money management approach.

For instance, the philosophical snake was determined to have the financial personality of a risk-taker, unafraid of jumping into a high-opportunity business deal. On the other hand, the rooster, known for clockwork and precision, is considered to possess the qualities of a great financial advisor.

"Billions of people celebrate the Chinese New Year," explains Go Banking Rates managing editor, Casey Bond. "But even those who don't can stand to benefit from some insight into how the year they were born could impact the decisions they make with their money every day.
