GUNNAR Optiks Prepares for Record Breaking Holiday Sales(October 07, 2013)
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) October 07, 2013
The recent government shutdown hasnt hindered sales of one flourishing San Diego, California start-up. GUNNAR Optiks, creators of high tech computer and gaming eyewear, announced today a one-day shipment to retailers nationwide worth more than $700,000 in sales - the largest order fulfillment in the company's history.
"GUNNAR pioneered the computer eyewear category and we've seen a recent uptick in demand as consumers become more aware of the benefits of wearing computer and gaming glasses, which includes reduced eye strain, dry eyes, blurry vision, and even headaches, said Joe Croft, co-founder and CEO of GUNNAR Optiks. "GUNNARS can be found in Best Buy and GameStop stores, but its the trajectory of our online business including Amazon, Zappos, and new partnerships with OfficeMax and Quills, that drove the new shipment record."
Jenny Michelsen, Co-Founder and CMO, added, "This weeks record-breaking shipment is a positive indicator that sales of GUNNARS will be strong this holiday season when consumers purchase computers, tablets, the next generation game consoles and games for all devices. As gamers spend hours mastering new titles, we can protect their eyes from the digital screen so they can focus longer and be more comfortable doing it.
While politicians in Washington D.C. are engaged in a bitter battle over debts and budgets, one thing is certain - not even a government shutdown can get between Americans and their love affair with all things related to video games.
