Frontier Airlines Now Approved for Gate-to-Gate Personal Electronic Device Use

Denver, Colo. (PRWEB) February 14, 2014

Frontier Airlines has received approval for gate-to-gate personal electronic device use from the Federal Aviation Administration. Passengers flying with Frontier can now use personal electronic devices in airplane mode during all phases of flight.

This is an exciting day for Frontier customers and has been something they have wanted for some time now, said Scott Gould, vice president, Flight Operations. We are pleased that we can now offer passengers the opportunity to read e-books, play games and watch videos on their devices during all phases of flight.

Prior to the new policy, customers were required to turn off and stow all electronic devices during taxi, takeoff, landing and when the aircraft was below 10,000 feet. With the new policy, passengers flying with Frontier Airlines may utilize smart phones, tablets and other small electronic devices in airplane mode at any time during taxi, takeoff and during flight, unless otherwise instructed by a crew member. Laptops must continue to be stowed during taxi, takeoff and landing. For more information, visit http://www.flyfrontier.com/faqs/passenger-travel-faqs.
