From English First to Education First(September 04, 2013)
Beijing, China (PRWEB UK) 4 September 2013
In celebration of its 20 years in China, the worlds leading international education company, EF Education First, invited renowned linguists to Peking University for a summit on student learning. EF China CEO Bill Fisher also announced that the company is moving from its brand name in China, EF English First, to its global name, EF Education First" to better reflect EFs diverse education programs.
The EF China 20th Anniversary Education Summit marks not only an important milestone for EF in China, but also a significant milestone for EF worldwide as it assembles its Research Network for the first time, with professors from Cambridge University, Harvard University, Peking University, and Lomonosov Moscow State University.
Dr. Christopher McCormick, EF's Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs said, We are proud to be working with these top minds from the best universities, as we continue to push the boundaries of learning. Today, we focus on how best to help Chinese students, recognizing the importance of English to Chinas growing influence as a world superpower.
Mr. Fisher also broke the news that EF China is renaming itself, from EF English First to EF Education First. This is an important symbolic step for us, said Mr. Fisher. With hundreds of EF English Centers across China for kids, teens, and adults, EF is clearly one the most trusted brands in English training serving hundreds of thousands of individual students as well as large organizations like First Auto Works and Xiamen Airlines. We also operate study abroad programs to help Chinese students gain pathways to universities abroad, EF international boarding schools, and MBA, Master, or Bachelor degree programs at our affiliated Hult International Business School. Therefore, we believe that the E and the F are truer represented in what we do day in and day out putting education first.
