Football.co.uk predicts EPL win as all Premier League clubs look set for knockout stages of Champions League

(PRWEB UK) 5 December 2013

Digital Sports Group today announced the expectations for a Premier League winner of the Champions League are high on football.co.uk.

Despite groups of death and some difficult away fixtures the English Premier League have already surpassed last years record for the number of teams to progress and are on course for 100% progression. Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea can already look forward to the knockout stage draw whilst Arsenal in perhaps the strongest overall group will progress so long as they avoid a heavy defeat. With perhaps the exception of Chelsea, the Premier League teams have impressed this season in Europe with great performances against some quality opposition.

Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say The Premier League teams had a disappointing year last season by their usual standards so its great to see them back on form and looking like genuine Champions League contenders. Arsenal and Manchester United have arguably impressed the most in Europe and I can certainly see one of those two teams lifting the trophy in May. Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid have looked strong but not unbeatable and it will be interesting to see how they perform and who they play once the draw is made for the next round once the group matches are concluded.

Simon Boynton, Managing Director of DSG believes that football.co.uk is proving to be a great venue for the Champions League. Football.co.uk has evolved into a great website for Champions League coverage and its great to see the Premier League teams playing well and progressing from the group stage. Chelsea, Man City, Man United and Arsenal are all in with a shout and we are in for some fantastic games in the knockout stages.

Digital Sports Group are the official partners of the PFA and publish sites such as football.co.uk, sport.co.uk and the Footymad network.
