Fidelity Communications Launches MLB Network in Most Markets

Sullivan, MO (PRWEB) April 06, 2014

Fidelity Communications today announced the launch of MLB Network, the 24-hour TV home for Major League Baseball, in most of its markets in Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana.

This is great news. MLB Network is one of Fidelitys most requested channels, and we are excited to bring it to our valued customers, said Rachel Steinkiste, video services manager. The network is available in both standard and high definition (HD) on Fidelitys systems.

MLB Network is being offered on Channel 108 in the MAXView tier in West Plains, Nevada and Harrisonville, Missouri and Hardy, Beebe, Shannon Hills and Maumelle, Arkansas, with the HD version on Channel 508. Texas customers in Marshall, Atlanta and Carthage will see it on MAXView Channel 110 and in HD on Channel 510. In New Roads, Louisiana, MLB is on MAXView Channel 116, in HD on Channel 516.

In all other Missouri markets, customers can view MLB on MAXView Channel 114, including Sullivan, Rolla, Lebanon, Salem, Gerald, Owensville and New Haven, and in HD on Channel 514. The MLB Network is on MEGAView Channel 76 in Lawton, Oklahoma, in HD on Channel 476. The new channel is not yet available in Thayer and El Dorado Springs, Missouri, and West Pulaski, Arkansas, but will be coming soon, Steinkiste said.

MLB Network is a TV destination for baseball fans, featuring the Emmy Award-winning MLB Tonight, live games, original programming, highlights, and insights and analysis from top commentators, including Bob Costas, Peter Gammons, Al Leiter and Harold Reynolds. Highlights from all the games can be seen daily on Quick Pitch, an hour-long show that covers every division race. Intentional Talk features Chris Rose and Kevin Millar with an irreverent take on all the weeks action.

MLB Network debuted on January 1, 2009, as the largest launch in cable television history and is currently distributed in more than 68 million cable, telco TV and satellite homes throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

We are thrilled to launch MLB Network on Fidelitys systems, said Tony Petitti, President and Chief Executive Officer, MLB Network. MLB Network offers comprehensive coverage, access and an insiders perspective on the sport that has never been seen before. This partnership helps us expand our reach and accomplish our goal of bringing MLB Network to as many fans as possible.
