ERASE Racism will Honor Chairman and CEO of American Express Kenneth Chenault at Annual Benefit

Mr. Kenneth I. Chenault, Chairman and CEO of American Express, who grew up in Hempstead, will return to Long Island on June 5th, 2013 to be honored by the civil rights organization ERASE Racism at their 2013 Annual Benefit. Mr. Chenault will be given the organizations Abraham Krasnoff Courage and Commitment Award for his life-time commitment to creating racial justice and promoting racial diversity.
When asked about the significance of having Mr. Chenault as the 2013 honoree, Elaine Gross, President of ERASE Racism, responded We could not be more thrilled. Kenneth Chenault has used his position as one of the most powerful people in our nation to promote racial diversity and equity, so it is an honor that he has decided to join ERASE Racism for our most important event of the year.
The organization will also recognize JOBCO, INC. for its commitment to increasing quality affordable housing on Long Island with the Corporate Leadership Award.
