Durant Will Not Seek Republican Nomination for the U.S. Senate in 2014

Clark Durant, the Co-Founder of the Cornerstone Schools and former candidate for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in 2012, declared today that he will not seek the Republican nomination in 2014 for the United States Senate. He will continue his 20-plus years of work in Detroit to help children get an excellent education at Cornerstone and other schools.

Durant released the following statement: I am grateful to all of the people who have called, texted, and emailed asking me to run again. But I wish to commit the remainder of my life helping Cornerstone and other schools to develop the next generation of young people to love God, to be of strong character and good heart, and to love our country. I also want to help Detroit once again to become a world-class city, said Durant. One day I hope freedom, opportunity, and the promises of our founding will be a reality for all Americans.
