Doctor's Best Introduces Quercetin Bromelain 60VC(July 20, 2013)
San Clemente, CA, July 20, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Doctor's Best has introduced Quercetin Bromelain into its dietary supplement line. Scott Steinford, CEO of Doctor's Best, made the announcement. This product is available in 60 vegetarian capsules, with each 2-capsule serving providing 500 milligrams of the bioflavonoid quercetin and 250 milligrams of the enzyme bromelain.
Quercetin Bromelain is a combination of bromelain, an enzyme complex derived from the pineapple stem, and quercetin, a plant pigment that is found in such healthful foods as apples, onions, kale, tomatoes, and the grapes used to make wine or juice. Why combine these two disparate ingredients? Bromelain has been used in conjunction with quercetin experimentally, as researchers have reason to believe that bromelain may enhance the transport of bioflavonoids (like quercetin) across the intestinal membrane.
Like of other flavonoid compounds, quercetin displays potent antioxidant activity. It has been shown to affect circulating concentrations of nitric oxide, an important messenger the body naturally produces to support healthy circulation.* Quercetin has also been noticed as a compound that holds potential in helping to maintain the normal structure and function of endothelial tissue, also important for cardiovascular health.* Additionally, preliminary research suggests that quercetin may support a healthy respiratory system.*
