Devlon Paris Launches Suit Donation Initiative to Benefit Disadvantaged Men Seeking to Enter the Workforce(March 19, 2014)

Devlon Paris International, a D.C. based mens clothier and lifestyle brand, is on a mission to inspire and empower high school boys along with disadvantaged and unemployed men by providing them with the tools required to pursue their goals and present themselves to employers in a dignified manner.
On March 29th, Devlon Paris is accepting donations of gently worn suits to benefit disadvantaged and low income men seeking to enter the workforce. This will take place during the companys pop-up boutique from 10 a.m. 4 p.m. at Living Social, 918 F Street NW, Washington, DC 20004. In addition, interested donors will receive a complimentary wardrobe consultation and discounts on Devlon Paris attire. No purchases are necessary to donate suits.
The inaugural suit donation project is a part of Devlon Paris Well Suited Initiative. The initiative includes two components, Inspiration and Achievement, to support male members of the community. The donated suits will go towards the Well Suited to Achieve program, which provides disadvantaged and low-income men with an opportunity to pair with a style advisor as they shop for complimentary clothing in a dignified environment and receive assistance achieving the best fit for their garments. This special pop-up event is scheduled to take place in Summer 2014. In addition, the program provides career development and personal presentation workshops to these men as they seek to enter or re-enter the workforce. The other portion of the initiative is Well Suited to Inspire, an interactive workshop for high school and early college age males, focused on personal value, service to the community, goal-setting and turning their vision into realty.
Devlon Paris knows that every person has the inner desire and potential to overcome lifes obstacles and achieve their goals. The mission of the Well Suited program is to empower young boys and adult men to believe in their purpose, and provide them with tools that support them in reaching these goals, said Stacey Calhoun, President of Client Services and Operations. The March 29th pop-up boutique will feature 250 high quality suit fabric selections, ties, premium dress shirts, pocket squares, and skincare products from the companys newest venture - Spa Cloth. An exclusive gentlemans lounge with games and adult candy bars will also be available to enhance the shopping experience. Customers will receive discounts and gift packages with their purchases.
