Clients of Waterfront Properties Catching Baseball Fever
(January 21, 2013)JUPITER, Fla. (PRWEB) January 21, 2013
Tickets to see the Miami Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals play pre-season Spring Training games at home in Abacoa go on sale Jan. 19, 2013, at Fun Fest.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., individual seats at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter will be available for the first time to the public. While baseball fans can purchase them via Ticketmaster, they are invited to come out to the ball park and enjoy the family-friendly festivities that signal the start of pitchers and catcher reporting for duty.
Fun Fest attendees will enjoy bounce houses and slides, face painting and balloon artistry, free food and beverages, and special offers on merchandise at the Team Store. There also will be a job fair for those interested in joining the team at Roger Dean Stadium.
Roger Dean Stadium came to life in 1998, on a large swath of Jupiter real estate in the Abacoa community. It seats 6,800 and has a beautiful lawn area where visitors can sit on blankets and take in the games. There also is sky-box seating, a high-technology press box and a full complement of concessions.
The stadium was built when Abacoa homes for sale first went on the market. Today, it is the only stadium in the state that is home to two Major League Baseball teams and the only stadium in the country to have four minor-league teams the Jupiter Hammerheads, the Palm Beach Cardinals, the Gulf Coast Marlins and the Gulf Coast Cardinals.
Tours of the stadium will be available during Fun Fest at 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. Beginning at 8 a.m., those who are waiting in line to purchase Spring Training tickets will be offered complimentary coffee and doughnuts. Also, the first 1,000 fans to enter the gates will be treated to a free hotdog and a free beverage. Throughout the day, guests will be able to play catch in the outfield, run the bases and meet the Jupiter Hammerheads mascot Hamilton R. Head.
Spring Training gets under way Feb. 23, when the Marlins play the Cardinals at 1:05 p.m. The next day, the Cardinals meet the Boston Red Sox, also at 1:05 p.m.
The planned community, east of Interstate 95 and north of Donald Ross Road, is one of several in which Waterfront Properties and Club Communities lists. Sales agents Bob Aiello and Travis Thomson specializes in Abacoa real estate and can be reached at 561-746-7272.
