Brazil vs. Colombia Tickets in Miami, FL: Ticket Down Slashes Colombia vs. Brazil Tickets at Sun Life Stadium in Miami for Sept. 5th Match(August 20, 2014)
Miami, FL (PRWEB) August 20, 2014
Two South American powerhouses will continue their football rivalry this September when Brazil and Colombia meet at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. The match will feature two of the top 10 teams in the world and will be a rematch of their thriller at the 2014 World Cup held in Brazil. The match will kick-off on Sept. 5 and will feature some of the best young talents in the sport.
Heading into the 2014 World Cup, the Brazilian national soccer team was the easy favorite to win the tournament. In their group, they advanced as the first place team and survived a scare against another South American rival, Chile. In the following round, Brazil and Colombia battled and the home team took a 2-0 lead before the 22-year-old James Rodriguez scored a goal and made it an interesting matchup.
In this matchup on American soil, Rodriguez will be relied upon to do big things for the Colombian team. The winner of the Golden Boot at the 2014 World Cup will enter the international friendly against Brazil with 11 goals in 27 caps. His performance in the tournament raised the worldwide awareness of his skills and he was rewarded by Real Madrid with a massive contract. He wont be the only star trying to lead his nation past the Brazilian squad. The nation will also rely on players like Mario Yepes, Juan Camilo Zuniga, Fredy Guarin, and Jackson Martinez.
One of the players that was expected to lead Brazil to the title was their own 22-year-old star, Neymar Jr. He suffered a back injury in the game against Colombia and will not be back in action for this rematch. Without him, the Brazilian team still has a large number of players that can lead them to victory including David Luiz, Marcelo, Thiago Silva, Oscar, and Hulk. These are all world class players that have no issue getting the pressure put on their shoulders.
Sun Life Stadium is the home of the Miami Dolphins from the National Football League. In the past, the facility was home to the Florida Marlins from Major League Baseball and has also hosted numerous other elite sporting events including five Super Bowls, two World Series, WrestleMania, World Baseball Classic, and is the home of the University of Miami Hurricanes. Since 2000, the venue has also been home to the Discover Orange Bowl, one of the BCS games.
When Brazil and Colombia meet, it will give fans another look at one of the greatest rivalries between South American teams. With Dunga running the Brazilian squad after Luiz Felipe Scolari was let go following the World Cup struggles, it will be interesting to see what type of offense the usually-flashy team runs. On the other side, the Colombian side will be led into this match by their manager, José Pékerman, who has been with the team since 2012.
