Bit Action, Inc. Announces Availability of BitJet One for Game Developers

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) April 16, 2014

Bit Action, Inc., developers of BitJet One, announces the availability of the BitJet One SDK for game developers. The ability to traverse NATs (Network Address Translators) has been a problem for multi-player and streaming games. NATs are typically found in wireless access points in the home, the office and mobile networks, and can interfere with connectivity for online game play.

Since GameSpy Technologys NAT traversal SDK and service have been shut down, many game developers have been left without a solution, frustrating and confusing their customers, and delaying deployment and development of new games, says Anton Sabev, CEO of Bit Action.

Today, NAT traversal is even more complex than it was even a few years ago because of the prevalence of symmetric NATs. Symmetric NATs, found in public hotspots, corporate data centers and mobile networks, randomize ports, making it very complex to establish a connection. But Bit Actions proprietary BitJet One SDK handles traversal of all NATseven symmetric oneswith ease, continues Sabev.

The BitJet One SDK is interesting NAT traversal technology that game developers, especially mobile ones, should take a close look at, says Rod Swanson, former Senior Director EA Brand and Chief Communications Officer of Collabworks.

BitJet Ones superior connection technology replaces what GameSpy Technology shut down, continues Sabev. It enables developers to deploy their own communication server hubs, ensuring a third-party shutdown never interrupts their customers. Game developers can focus on providing great game experiences instead of worrying about connectivity issues.

Game developers who are interested can start testing BitJet One by emailing info(at)bitaction(dot)com. BitJet One easily integrates into PC games (Windows, Mac OS, Linux) as well as mobile games (iOS and Android). It can also be used in embedded environments like game consoles and set-top boxes.
