Sports enthusiasts have been visiting this city for years for several reasons. The NFLs title game has been played here nine previous times. College footballs championship game has been held here on four occasions. The New Orleans Saints play their home games at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The NBAs New Orleans Hornets play in the adjacent New Orleans Arena. Several athletics teams from Tulane University and the University of New Orleans compete at the NCAA Division I level.
