Avanquest Introduced Recommendations on P, X32, XPI, and XPT Software(March 10, 2013)

File extension P, X32, XPI, and XPT are associated with a variety of different file types one of which is a plugin file. Taking into account the diversity of software for opening a plugin file type and that it is typically used to extend the capabilities of different programs and applications, including additional functions to web browsers, email applications, multimedia editing applications, Avanquest recently published the recommendations on the main types of software to open P, X32, XPI, and XPT file extensions.
File extension P is a plugin file type which extends the capabilities for LightWave 3D which is a software application that provides tools for creating 3D objects, images, and animations. P files contain data which adds functionality to the LightWave 3D application.
File extension X32 works with Macromedia and Adobe software applications to add features and functionality to different Adobe programs. The Adobe applications including image and video editing and web development programs which are offered on the Adobe website.
File extension XPI is a plugin file which is used with various Mozilla applications and contains data which adds features and functions to the Mozilla Firefox web browser, Thunderbird, and SeaMonkey, to name a few Mozilla applications. XPI files are commonly installed with Mozilla applications or they can be installed through a drag and drop method.
File extension XPT is designed to add new features to the Mozilla Firefox web browser. XPT files are a plugin which contains data that enhances Flash player and other browser add-ons. The files are installed as an option and stored in a folder with other browser plugins.
File Extension P, X32, XPI, and XPT Software
Plugin files are meant to be used with the application they are associated with. If you are a developer, the file contents can be viewed using a variety of developer applications. The following software applications can be used to open file extension P, X32, XPI, and XPT.
LightWave 11.5: NewTek LightWave 11.5 is a software application which provides a set of professional tools for creating 3D modeling, rendering, and animation elements. LightWave uses Python scripting and is used by developers to create a variety of different multimedia components. LightWave 11.5 is available on the LightWave 3D website and will open file extension P. LightWave is designed for use with the Windows operating system and Mac OS X.
Director 12: Adobe Director 12 can be used to open file extension X32 and is a professional software application which provides tools for creating interactive three dimensional games which work across multiple platforms. Adobe Director 12 is available on the Adobe website and is compatible with the Windows operating system and Mac OS X.
Flash Player: Adobe Flash Player is a software application which is cross platform and provides a way to view videos and interactive content using a web browser. Flash Player 11.6 will open file extension X32 and is available as an unpaid download on the Adobe website. Flash Player is compatible with the Windows operating system and Mac OS X.
Mozilla Firefox: File extension XPI and file extension XPT can be opened using Mozilla Firefox which is an unpaid web browser that provides secure browsing and a variety of other features which are used to browse the Internet. Mozilla Firefox is available for download on the Mozilla.org website and is compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, and the Linux operating system.
Authorware 7: Adobe Authorware 7 is a software application which provides visual authoring tools for creating e-learning applications. The applications are developed to comply with learning management system standards for corporate training, disk media, and web courses. Adobe Authorware 7 is available on the Adobe website and will open file extension X32. Authorware 7 is compatible with the Windows operating system and Mac OS X.
Thunderbird: Mozilla Thunderbird can be used to open file extension XPI and is a free email application which provides a wide variety of features and add-ons for different email functions. Mozilla Thunderbird 17.0.2 is available on the Mozilla.org website and is compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, and the Linux operating system.
Shockwave Player: Adobe Shockwave Player is a multimedia software application which provides access to interactive product demonstrations online, videos, 3D games, and online learning applications. Shockwave Player will open file extension X32 and is available for download on the Adobe website. Shockwave Player is designed for use with the Windows operating system and Mac OS X.
SeaMonkey: Mozilla SeaMonkey is an Internet application suite which provides a way to sync your browsing preferences across multiple devices, access information through the newsgroup and feed client, and use advanced email features which provide additional security and protection against spam. Mozilla SeaMonkey will open file extension XPI and is available as an unpaid download on the SeaMonkey Project.org website. SeaMonkey is designed for use with Windows, Mac OS X, and the Linux operating system.
These are a few of the software applications recommended by Avanquest to open P, X32, XPI, and XPT file extensions. Plugin files are also recommended to be opened using the developer software application they are created with, which will depend upon the plugin purpose and the application in which the plugin extends the capabilities.
